Believed to be designed by Richard Michel Upjohn, the 1868 Weaver Castle will be a
bed and breakfast, special events venue and has 501(C)(3) non-profit status. Weaver Castle is an organization dedicated
to the purchase and preservation of the historic Weaver Castle, to education of civil rights, and combating community deterioration.
In the future, Weaver Castle will provide a historic setting for travelers from all around the world with unrivaled service,
cleanliness, and attention to detail and Weaver Castle will celebrate the special events along with patrons who have
weddings, reunions, receptions, birthday parties, including a host of other occasions and tours on the Selma Chamber of Commerce
calendar of events. Revenue over and above operational costs and maintenance of Weaver Castle will go to the Weaver Castle
Hurricane/Tornado Damaged and Historic Homes Fund. This fund will be set up to help owners do repairs to thier homes that
they can not afford to do. These projects will CREATE JOBS and be "Green". Online donations are being accepted through
